last saturday was one of my most depressing moments in the last few months. i went to visit my ahgong in the hospital after his fall which resulted in a hip fracture. when i first saw him, it wasnt a pleasant sight. not becuz of any unsightly hospital equipments, but cuz of his ghastly appearance. his illness is really taking a deathly toll on him. the depressing moment came when he was hallucinating about his past. he started smiling and kicking his leg... as though he is playing a game of football. and then, he played with a imaginary string in his hands. later, he tried to get off the bed and failed to as one of his legs was deemed useless. however, he didnt realise how critical his condition was and doesnt even rmb abt his fall, or even he was in the hospital. at the same time, he mumbled but my parents cldnt even make out what he was talking about. all he said makes no sense at all.

yesterday jerica, mei and i went to help out at the std chartered marathon, tog with shengli and yaowen. poor koon fell sick. it was also great meeting wenhao again. it was about a year or so since i last saw him. still the same, smiling guy.
in fact, we'd to take a bus at 2am. haha. wat a timing! but we had to stone our way through the night. we were actually knocking off at daylight, but luckily the massage we gave each other really perked us up. i was incharge of giving out the finishers' tee for the full marathoners. at the beginning, it was really slack but the chaos came at ard 11am when all the runners seemed to complete the race at the same time. it was a great experience smiling at the runners, marking the runners' number tags and presenting the tshirts to them. and some of the runners even thanked me for volunteering at the event and smiled back despite their weariness. (: i really appreciate that. also, there were so many good-looking hunks! hahah.
jeri and i were looking out for pengfei and hoped he will collect a M-sized tshirt. but alas, we missed him in the crowd. too bad for us, as we wanted to sign our signature on his number tags.
actually the experience made us feel like some superstar having a qian1 chang2 hui4. hahah.
later there'll be e3 class gathering and i really do hope that i'll be brave enough to face him.
